AMERICAN RIVER DIARY: STUDIES AND EXPRESSIONS IN GRAPHITE

I'm a river rat - born and raised on the Ohio River. So when my family moved to Sacramento in 2018, I immediately gravitated to the American River. The river runs 120 miles from the headwaters in the High Sierra westward to its confluence with the Sacramento River. In Spring 2019, I began a weekly practice of sketching on the banks of the river.
